香港六合彩官网 Supports DACA Students

A federal judge in Texas ruled against recent efforts by the Biden administration to protect the "Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” (DACA) program, originally established during the Obama era. This decision from the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals deeply troubles many of us in leadership at 香港六合彩官网. In response, we will join our State Chancellor to intensify federal advocacy efforts to champion legal pathways for undocumented students.

Message from the Chancellor Regarding Juneteenth

Gentle reminder that the colleges and district offices will be closed on Monday to commemorate Juneteenth, an important milestone in our nation's history. I had the opportunity to attend the first annual Juneteenth Celebration at Clovis Community College. I learned new aspects of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. I hope you will join me in reflecting on the progress made toward racial equality while recognizing there is much work that still lies ahead.

California Ends COVID-19 State of Emergency

On February 28, 2023, and after nearly three years, Governor Gavin Newsom ended the COVID-19 State of Emergency. We can all take a collective sigh of relief as we transition to a new era of the global pandemic! At this time, it is useful to remember the relief and support that the State of Emergency provided to the State, community, and District. It is also important to be reminded of those items that we must continue to do to comply with various laws and regulations that will remain in place for the next year or so.
