Advanced Career Development Program for Post-degree and 4th year BBA and BA students

This program is designed to advance your career stage whatever level you are at. By the end of the program, students will be well-prepared to take on higher-responsibility roles, transition into new industries, and achieve their professional goals with greater confidence and competence. 

What you get

Training through 5 mandatory workshops, one-on-one appointments and invitations to networking activities:

  1. Navigating the Canadian Job Market: Gain valuable insights into the local labor market and identify career-advancing job opportunities to make informed decisions.  Leverage Generative AI tools to help with your career research.
  2. Workplace Culture: Understand and navigate diverse workplace cultures, especially beneficial for international students.
  3. Next Level Communication Skills: Learn about active listening, proper writing etiquette, and public speaking best practices to enhance your professional interactions.
  4. Be the Brand & Build Connections: Create your unique brand and build a robust network of professional contacts to support your career growth.
  5. The Job Hunting Blueprint: Develop personalized strategies to achieve your unique career objectives. 

Ongoing career services support, workshops and coaching, including: 

  • Invitations to specific student led networking activities to practice/support and polish your skillsets.
  • Personalized Coaching: Receive one-on-one coaching to address your individual needs and challenges.
  • Career Progression Planning: Establish a clear and actionable career progression plan tailored to your unique goals and aspirations.
  • Career Transition Support: Develop a plan for transitioning to a new industry or advancing within your current field. 

The benefits:

  • The program is offered in two five-part workshop series throughout the semester.
  • You will receive on-going assistance from Career Centre Staff during the program and post-graduation.
  • We anticipate that our students will secure new employment opportunities that represent a significant upgrade from their current positions.
