Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø is governed by seven elected trustees who represent seven unique trustee areas. Registered voters within each trustee area vote to elect a trustee to represent that area. Each trustee area should be roughly equal in population size to every other trustee area, subject to allowable variances. Population changes overtime may cause some trustee areas to be smaller or larger than other areas and exceed acceptable variances. As a result, after each Decennial Census, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø is required to analyze census data to determine if boundary adjustments are needed to ensure each trustee area maintains a proper population balance.
Based on data from the 2020 Decennial Census, attorney David Soldani of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Rudd & Romo and demographer Justin Rich of Cooperative Strategies have determined that trustee areas must be adjusted to maintain a proper population balance. They have created four proposed mapping scenarios that reflect adjustments to trustee areas to ensure compliance with legal requirements. The proposed maps may be accessed below:
Proposed Redistricting Scenario 1
Proposed Redistricting Scenario 2
Proposed Redistricting Scenario 3
Proposed Redistricting Scenario 4
Proposed Redistricting Scenario 5 (Submitted by Member of the Public) - Added on 11/22/2021

In early 2022, the Board of Trustees will vote to approve new maps adjusting the trustee area boundaries. The board may approve one of the four proposed scenarios, or a different scenario depending on feedback collected during the redistricting process. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the Town Hall meetings to provide feedback. Additionally, members of the public are encouraged to attend Board of Trustee meetings and provide feedback on trustee area boundary adjustments at the meetings.
